- Of the 71 invited participants, 41 rsvp'ed to confirm attendance = 58%
- Of the 41 rsvp'ed, 20 participants showed up = 49% (inc 5 Dads) and x3 sent apologies
- This represented 45 students across the school = 22% of total roll (22 Boys / 23 Girls)

From a parental survey...
- Most people "agreed a little" that they enjoyed their own personal reading...
- Most people "disagreed a little" that they often read with their children...
- Most people "agreed a little" that they were confident in helping their child learn to read...
- Most people "agreed a little" that helping their child with reading was fun and enjoyable...
- Most people "disagreed" that they regularly went to the local library...
- Most people "disagreed a little" that they could judge whether their child's book was too hard...
- Most people have a device that they use for reading...
- Most people have a device that their child can use for reading...
Therefore, most of the participants enjoy reading personally and are confident in helping their child read in a fun and enjoyable way but that they often don't do so, and therefore they couldn't judge if the book their child was reading was too hard. There was little useage of the local libary. although most had a device that they, and their child, could use for reading.
