Story Sacks REGENERATED into "Kete Talanoa"

So after a whole day "working bee" party (in conjunction with the MOE PELP programme we are participating in) making kete talanoa's they were piloted internally with a mixed age group of Cook Island Maori and Tongan students...

The stories were told in "mother tongue" thanks to some awesome T.A's I coerced into my needs and the students engaged actively and participated purposefully in the whole experience.

#ENGAGEMENT

Presenting
                        ...Kete Talanoa's
(currently available in Maori Kuki Airani,

Latest Readings...

Busy reading lots of research and theories about oral language and language acquisition
and how to make that difference to so many who really need a difference being made...

Talking really matters, oral language is just that...

It's not a reading test or defining words...

It's not picking out a synonym or adjective...

IT HAS TO BE ABOUT;
ACQUIRING LANGUAGE,
GATHERING NEW WORDS,
TRIALING UNKNOWN VOCAB
IN AN EXCITING, REAL AND RELEVANT WAY...

My six T.I students have ALL made progress.

There was an overall "average" movement of 17+ months across all six students.
The greatest gain was 29 months (in 6 months).
x3 students made accelerated progress.
More girls made accelerated progress than boys.
x2 girls made less than 6 months progress.

Q. Why did A.G only make x1 month's progress but N.G made x27 months progress?
Q. Why are the "boys" making more progress  overall than the girls?
